About Us

The Brisbane International Pistol Club was founded in 2011 as part of the Qld Target Sports complex at the Belmont Shooting Range. Since the upgrade to the range facility for the 2018 Commonwealth Games the complex is now known as the Brisbane International Shooting Centre; in the middle of the Belmont Shooting Complex - entry gate is at 1485 Old Cleveland Road Belmont.

Our club makeup is of dedicated competition members with the focus being the ISSF matches, and we encourage new members to partake in competitions locally and interstate - take up the challenge!

Facilities include:

  • 60 positions of electronic 50m targets for 50m Pistol
  • 60 position indoor 10m Air range with 60 electronic targets
  • 40 positions of electronic 25m targets for all other pistol matches
  • Finals Range for conducting Finals in the relevant events
  • Club house with kitchen area
All areas of the complex are wheelchair friendly.

All members are fully affiliated with Pistol Shooting Queensland (PSQ) and Pistol Australia (PA), and are therefore are fully insured through PSQ. Members have access to coaching resources at Club, State and National level.

Through this affiliation with Pistol Australia, members have a pathway to shoot at local, state and national competitions, and the opportunity to represent Australia at international competitions such as World Championships, World Cups, Oceania Championships, Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.

Members are encouraged to further their shooting knowledge by becoming range officers, judges, referees and for the more experienced, qualified coaches.

Our Club, though only very new, has access to the most modern and comprehensive facilities in QLD & Australia and as such, they are used for training purposes of interested groups such as National and State Team training camps and coaching seminars.
